Following the Tennesee Titans 16-19 overtime loss to the Washington Redskins, it was reported that Vince Young entered into meltdown mode, threw his jersey into the stands and stormed out of the stadium. That's true...sort of. ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Young actually didn't throw his jersey into the stands the way it was described.
Vince Young Meltdown: Titans QB Didn’t Throw Jersey Into Crowd Out Of Frustration
Vince Young didn't throw jersey into stands; he gave it to Titans EVP Don MacLachlans daughter. "She's been very supportive of me," he said.
This won’t get Young out of hot water. The reported jersey-throwing incident is only a small part of the overall meltdown that we saw from Young. Following the game, he reportedly had a “verbal confrontation” with head coach Jeff Fisher and left the facility.
Meanwhile Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean predicts Young never plays again for the Titans. Team officials are expected to talk with him this week.
