Vince Young And Jeff Fisher Will ‘Have To Work Together’, Titans Owner Bud Adams Says

The Tennessee Titans are having a bit of a crisis at quarterback with Vince Young reportedly getting into a verbal confrontation with head coach Jeff Fisher after Sunday's overtime loss to the Washington Redskins. Tennesse beat writers have predicted Young will never play for Jeff Fisher again but the team owner Bud Adams apparently disagrees, according to the Tennessean.

“They are going to have to work together. I haven’t given up on Vince, and I am sure Fisher hasn’t either,” Adams said by phone from his office in Houston. “Vince was upset and said some things he regretted after doing it, but you have to get to the bottom of it, straighten it out and move on.”

Despite the Titans -- or at least Vince Young’s -- apparent meltdown after Sunday’s game would suggest they’re not in second place and a game out of first in the AFC South, but they are. There’s still hope left in Tennessee this year, whether Vince Young is part of that or not.

Adams doesn’t have much of a choice but to say that unless the Titans are going to make a move this season, which they may not. Young is owed over $11 million next year so something would seemingly have to give for him to return.
