It's been quite a 24 hours for Tennessee Titans QB Vince Young. He went from starting quarterback to exiting the game, having a "verbal confrontation" with the head coach and storming out of the facility.
Vince Young Placed On Injured Reserve For Thumb Injury
Now this: Vince Young will be placed on injured reserve and his season is over.
Titans head coach Jeff Fisher confirmed on Monday that Young would need surgery to fix his injured thumb and the Titans would place him on injured reserve. Injury or not, it didn’t appear Young was in the Titans plans for the rest of the 2010 season. Fisher had announced on Sunday that Young had lost his starting job so he likely wouldn’t have been playing anyway.
Fisher also announced the Titans will sign QB Chris Simms as the backup on Tuesday.
