NFL Week 14 Scores And Results: Jaguars Top Raiders 38-31, Keep AFC South Lead

One of the day’s better games so far happened in Jacksonville, where the Jaguars came back more than once to keep their place atop the AFC South.

Buoyed by 23 carries for 101 yards and a touchdown from Maurice Jones-Drew, another 105 yards on the ground from Rashad Jennings, and three David Garrard touchdown passes, the Jaguars beat the Raiders, 38-31.

Jacksonville had to overcome a game Oakland team that got a great performance from Darren McFadden, who had 209 yards from scrimmage and three touchdowns. The Raiders raced out to a 17-7 halftime lead and pushed their advantage to 24-14 after McFadden took a screen pass 67 yards for a score and ran 51 yards up the middle for another.

But the Jaguars took over late, scoring 31 second-half points, and a 30-yard run by Jones-Drew with under two minutes left answered a McFadden touchdown and put the Jags up for good.

After that score, the Raiders could not mount a rally, with poor clock management helping to kill a drive that ended in Jaguars territory.

The win moves the Jaguars to 8-5 on the year. They have a one-game lead on the Colts in the AFC South.
