Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers suffered a concussion last week in a loss to the Detroit Lions. He hasn't practiced at all this week and the decision of whether he'll play will be made by Saturday, according to the team. We don't know yet whether Rodgers has been medically cleared to play or whether he passed the concussion tests throughout the week.
Aaron Rodgers Concussion: Packers Will Make Decision By Saturday
Greg Bedard, formerly a Packers beat writer, indicates the Packers likely aren’t planning on Rodgers playing.
Been hearing all week the Packers knew early on Rodgers wouldn't play. McCarthy thinks the "make them prepare for 2 QBs" thing has merit.
If he hasn't practiced all week, then we shouldn't expect him to play, even in a big game against the New England Patriots. What players and coaches say matters very little -- what they do does matter and it's been Flynn getting the reps. It's rare to see a player in his position not practice all week and then play on Sunday.
The Packers offense is drastically different with Matt Flynn in at quarterback and not Rodgers. It's hard to see how Green Bay has a shot in this game against the red-hot Patriots if Rodgers doesn't go.
