Eagles QB Michael Vick suffered a quad injury early in Tuesday’s loss to the Vikings and he reportedly won’t start for the Eagles in Week 17.

Vick also missed a handful of games in midseason with a chest injury.

The lack of any meaning in this game and Vick being banged up makes this an easy decision. Andy Reid suggested earlier this week that even if this game meant something he’s not sure Vick would be able to play with a quad injury.
The Eagles didn’t practice on Wednesday but their estimated practice reports says Vick wouldn’t have practiced. Coming off the week from Tuesday’s game, Philly fans probably shouldn’t expect to see much, if any, of Michael Vick against the Cowboys.

The Eagles didn’t practice Wednesday because of the Tuesday night game against the Vikings but they were still required to issue an estimated practice report and placed Vick under “did not practice”.
We can’t glean much from Vick’s absence considering the Eagles didn’t even practice but it sure doesn’t seem like he’ll be playing this weekend. It also doesn’t seem like many of the non-injured Eagles starters will be playing.

That’s good news for QB Michael Vick, who suffered an injury against the Vikings (but didn’t come out). Though Eagles coach Andy Reid was vague on Vick’s status for next weekend, it doesn’t sound like he’ll play.
If this was a must-win game, it’s possible Vick tries to play, and the injury is worsened. But with nothing to play for, there’s no reason to play him. Reid indicated in his news conference this week that he isn’t sure how much any of the Eagles starters will be playing, Vick included.
