Ben Roethlisberger Injury Update: Steelers QB Expected To Play Vs. Titans

Ben Roethlisberger's foot injury is not expected to keep him out of Pittsburgh's game the Titans this Sunday. An MRI on Monday revealed that injury to the Steelers quarterback was a sprained foot, and not a fracture.

At a press conference Tuesday, Steelers coach Mike Tomlin was optimistic that his quarterback will be back on the field in time for the weekend. Roethlisberger was injured in a loss Sunday to the Texans.

Tomlin "Based on the information i have now, we expect Ben to be limited in the early part of week, and ready by weekend"

The good news for Pittsburgh -- as Joel Thorman noted earlier in this stream -- is that Roethlisberger has a history of fighting through injury, and has played on an injured foot before.

The Steelers need Roethlisberger on the field as they try to fight their way out of a disappointing 2-2 start. He hasn’t been great -- nine turnovers in four games -- but much of the blame for that rests with the Steelers underperforming offensive line.
