Ben Roethlisberger’s Foot Injury Feels ‘A Lot Better’

The news wasn’t entirely unexpected. When an MRI taken Monday revealed that there was no fracture in his left foot, few expected the tough-as-nails QB to sit out.

The good news for Pittsburgh -- as Joel Thorman noted earlier in this stream -- is that Roethlisberger has a history of fighting through injury, and has played on an injured foot before.

No word on how much time, if any, he’ll miss as a result of the sprained foot.

For now Big Ben is not a guy you really want to be relying on for your fantasy team. I’d suspect until he gets things figured out there are some decent options on your waiver wire if you don’t already have a backup.

Roethlisberger was 16-of-30 for 206 yards and one interception. That pick came on his last throw, ending the game in favor of the Texans.

It does not look good for Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. Following his team’s 10-17 loss to the Houston Texans in the matinee games today, Roethlisberger received an x-ray on his foot. He was later seen leaving the game on crutches and wearing a walking boot.

There are already questions about his availability for next week’s game when the Steelers host the surging Tennessee Titans.
