Nnamdi Asomugha May Not Look To Houston Texans In Free Agency?

NFL free agency hasn't even started and there are already rumors floating around about players and what teams they would or wouldn't want to play for. The latest involves free-agent-to-be CB Nnamdi Asomugha.

He's widely considered the top free agent in the 2011 class -- if we ever have free agency, which isn't a given -- and the Houston Texans need help on the defensive side of the ball so a marriage between those two makes sense.

Unfortunately for Texans fans who want Asomugha, Richard Justice of the Houston Chronicle writes the feeling may not be mutual.

Word is Asomugha doesn’t want any part of our little corner of paradise. Really? Well, buddy boy, I’ve got about 30 million reasons you might just change your mind.

Justice hits on the one thing that usually matters the most in free agency -- money. If the Texans are willing to pay more than everyone else then I would venture to guess that Asomugha could be enticed into coming. Let’s wait until we start seeing some offers before we dismiss the idea of Asomugha heading to the Texans.
