Randy Moss To New England Patriots ‘Not Going To Happen’

Whenever the NFL lockout ends and free agency hits, there will be a rather large name on the free agency market. WR Randy Moss was traded from the New England Patriots to the Minnesota Vikings in the 2010 season but he ultimately finished up the season with the Tennessee Titans.

Reports say Moss won’t be returning to the Titans but Moss himself has expressed an interest in returning to the Patriots. According to the Boston Globe, that won’t be happening. Shalise Manza Young reports in a mailbag item that Moss likely won’t be back in New England.

Just don’t ask about Randy Moss returning. I’ve heard on good authority that’s not going to happen.

That’s about what we expected. Patriots head coach Bill Belichick probably wouldn’t have made the trade with the Vikings if he felt Moss had a lot left to offer New England.

Now the question becomes where will he land next. Someone out there will take a chance on him --- the Jets have been floated as a possibility -- but we have to wait for the end of the lockout to find out who that team will be.
