QB Kyle Orton attended the Denver Broncos first practice this week and lined up with the first team looking crisp while dropping back to pass. That sounds all well and good but Orton may not be there long. This according to the latest reports that Orton could be on the trade block.
Miami Dolphins May Be Out Of Running For Kyle Orton Trade
The Broncos haven't made a move yet but one of the teams reportedly interested in Orton has made a noteworthy move. The Miami Dolphins, linked to Orton, have reportedly signed QB Matt Moore. And, according to the report, that means Orton is off the Dolphins' radar.
If that’s the case, we’re not sure who will pick Orton up. He reportedly wants to be a starter wherever he goes so that’s something to consider. He’s due over $8 million in 2011 so whoever picks him up would likely want to re-work his contract as well.
It seems unlikely that the Broncos would keep Orton in Denver with his salary but crazier things have happened. It’s a situation to keep an eye on as quarterback jobs around the league are starting to get filled.
