The San Diego Chargers travel to face the Dallas Cowboys on NBC's Sunday Night Football in a week two preseason contest. The Chargers lost their preseason opener 24-17 to the Seattle Seahawks, although their starting lineup looked fairly solid in limited action. The Chargers will look to keep their starters healthy and build up the depth they added via the draft and free agency. The team added two defensive starters in Takeo Spikes and Travis Laboy and boosted their depth with the addition of Cory Liuget and Marcus Gilchrist in the draft.
The Cowboys won a tight one over the Denver Broncos courtesy of a two-point conversion with 15 seconds to go. Normally the team would have probably gone for the tie, but that doesn't happen in preseason football. Third year QB Stephen McGee and rookie WR Dwayne Harris were the players of the game on offense for the Cowboys as they connected on two big touchdowns in the fourth quarter. McGee will continue his battle to pass Jon Kitna on the depth chart, while Harris will look to force his way into more playing time.
