Chicago Bears tight end Desmond Clark will not return on Saturday night after going down with what was deemed as a "serious" knee injury. Clark left the game in the fourth quarter after taking a big blow to his left knee by Tennessee Titans safety Anthony Smith. After staying down on the turf, a cart was needed to take him off the field and into the locker room.

According to the Fox broadcast, Clark will undergo further examination and will not return. The report, passed along by Bears Insider, could be bad news for the NFL veteran.

While it’s too early to speculate, the impact to Clark’s knee did not look good. The fact he was unable to walk off the field, or put weight on his knee, is none too promising, as well. We’ll be back with more as it becomes available.
