Saints Vs. Raiders Halftime Score: New Orleans Offense Rolling With 17-10 Lead

The New Orleans first-team offense looks ready for the start of the regular season, holding a 17-10 lead over the Oakland Raiders at halftime. In the three drives he played, Drew Brees led the Saints to two touchdowns and one field goal. While he didn't throw any touchdowns (15-of-23, 189 yards), Brees developed a rapport with tight end Jimmy Graham, targeting him eight times and completing five passes for 73 yards.

Running backs Mark Ingram and Pierre Thomas each came up with a one-yard touchdown run to cap separate 80-yard drives. Garrett Hartley kicked a 33-yard field goal in the second quarter for the latest Saints points.

For the Oakland Raiders, the offense has had its flashes. Jason Campbell connected with Derek Hagan for a 35-yard touchdown pass in the first quarter and Sebastian Janikowski put the ball down the middle of the uprights for a 57-yard field goal. An offensive pass interference call negated a nice catch by Taiwain Jones that would have put the Raiders within yards of the end zone with a four downs to go.
