NFL Odds Week 2: Ravens Vs. Titans

The Baltimore Ravens opened as four-point favorites on the road against the Tennessee Titans in Week 2.

After their impressive 35-7 win over the defending AFC Champion Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 1, our partner Odds Shark shows the Baltimore Ravens opening as four point favorites on the road against the Tennessee Titans this Sunday.

The Raven's swarming defense forced seven turnovers in the season-opener, including four fumble recoveries. At the center of the fumble creation was Baltimore's two-time Pro Bowl defensive tackle Haloti Ngata, who recovered two fumbles, one of which he created when he burst into the Steelers' backfield and swallowed up running back Rashard Mendenhall. The Ravens limited the Steelers to just 66 yards rushing on Sunday, with nine of those yards coming via quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.

Baltimore's run defense presents a stern challenge to a Titans offense that will be looking to get running back Chris Johnson more involved in Week 2. A week after signing a four-year, $53.5 million extension, Johnson had just nine carries for 24 yards in the Titans' 16-14 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday. First-year head coach Mike Munchak anticipates 18-20 carries on the ground for the three-time Pro Bowl running back, who will also get a handful of touches in the passing game.

In head-to-head regular season meetings since 1996, the Titans and Ravens could not be more even against one another. In addition to the series being tied at eight wins apiece, both teams are 4-4 in the series at home. The Ravens won the last overall meeting in Nashville, 13-10 in the divisional round of the 2008 NFL Playoffs.
