The Dallas Cowboys are still on the road to start their season, having dropped the Sunday night opener to the New York Jets. Though they allowed 17 straight unanswered points in that game for the loss, the Cowboys still find themselves as slight favorites against the San Francisco 49ers this week. Odds Shark has the Cowboys as a field goal favorite.
NFL Odds Week 2: Cowboys Vs. 49ers
The San Francisco 49ers are home underdogs this week as they host the Dallas Cowboys. Does Ted Ginn still have any kick return magic left in him?
The Cowboys dropped the ball in the fourth quarter, or, more literally, had a punt blocked and returned for a touchdown in the fourth quarter. That gave the Jets the momentum to win the game. Tony Romo did have an embarrassing gaffe, missing the snap on one play, but he also had 326 passing yards and two touchdowns. He'll provide a tougher test for the 49ers defense than did Seahawks quarterback Tarvaris Jackson.
The 49ersheld just a two-point lead with less than four minutes left in the game. The Seahawks had scored the latest touchdown, but then the mistake of kicking to Ted Ginn Jr. happened. In less than a minute, Ginn had returned a kickoff and a punt for touchdowns, providing a comfort zone for the Niners. Will the Cowboys' special teams be up to the task of stopping Ginn?
