NFL Odds Week 2: Chiefs Vs. Lions

Will the Kansas City Chiefs bounce back from a humiliating Week 1 loss or will the Detroit Lions’ Matthew Stafford have a pass-happy day against the secondary?

The last thing the Kansas City Chiefs expected last week was to be blown out at home to the Buffalo Bills. But that's what happened in the 41-7 contest. It won't be any easier for the Chiefs in Week 2 as they head to Detroit as a two-score underdog. Odds Shark has the opening line at eight points and it has since moved to nine points.

The Chiefs secondary couldn't stop Ryan Fitzpatrick from throwing four touchdown passes, and the loss of safety Eric Berry didn't help things. Berry is out for the season with a torn ACL. The Chiefs will continue with Matt Cassel managing the offense while Jamaal Charles looks to build the running game back up. He had just 10 carries for 56 yards.

The Detroit Lions might surprise many this season if Matthew Stafford stays healthy. He led the Lions to a 27-20 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers by throwing for three touchdowns. Can he exploit the Chiefs' secondary like Fitzpatrick did?
