The Arizona Cardinals and Washington Redskins combined to score 56 points in their Week 1 games, but Sunday's encounter between the two teams is currently going off at 44 over/under. Maybe the skepticism is warranted. Quarterbacks Kevin Kolb and Rex Grossman, while both looking plenty impressive in their season debuts, are hardly proven commodities.
NFL Odds Week 2: Cardinals Vs. Redskins
Kolb has all of 20 games of NFL experience over his six previous seasons and Grossman has not been a regular starter since leading the Chicago Bears to the Super Bowl following the 2006 season. Both gave reasons to believe they could be turning the corner, though.
Boosted by a solid running game that featured Beanie Wells picking up 90 yards on 18 carries, Kolb threw for 309 yards and two touchdowns on 27 attempts to lead the Cardinals over the the Panthers. Grossman put up nearly identical numbers, tossing two touchdowns and 305 yards on 34 attempts.
As 4-point favorites at home, the Redskins look like the strong bet here, especially considering the state of the Cardinals secondary.
