Coming off a Week 1 win against a Atlanta Falcons teams that many seemed to think were going to be good, you'd think the Chicago Bears would get a little respect from the odds-makers heading into Week 2. You'd be wrong. The Bears have been pegged as 7.5-point underdogs as they get ready to face a New Orleans Saints team that actually lost in Week 1.
NFL Odds Week 2: Bears Vs. Saints
Despite that loss to the Green Bay Packers, the Saints did give bettors a reason to believe. Drew Brees looked as sharp as ever, throwing for 419 yards and three touchdowns. There were plenty of reasons to be worried, too. First and foremost was the 42 points they surrendered. They also lost wide receiver Marques Colston, who broke his collarbone and is expected to be out 4-6 weeks.
There's also probably some expectation that Gregg Williams' defense will have an easier time against Jay Cutler and the Bears. Cutler was sacked five times in Week 1 and you can bet the Saints will be coming after him. The over/under of 47.5 might be a good over proposition.
