Jake Locker injury: Titans QB is day-to-day

An MRI revealed that Jake Locker does not have any structural damage in his left shoulder, and the Titans consider the quarterback day-to-day.

Tennessee Titans quarterback Jake Locker does not have any structural damage in his shoulder, and is considered day-to-day with a shoulder injury.

Locker re-injured his left (non-throwing) shoulder in the first quarter of Sunday's loss to the Houston Texans. Houston safety Glover Quin came unblocked on a safety blitz, knocking Locker out of the game.

Locker originally suffered a dislocated left shoulder in Week 1's loss to the New England Patriots, when he tackled Patriots safety Patrick Chung, following a fumble recovery that eventually was ruled not a fumble.

Through the first four games of the season, Locker is 67-of-106 passing (63.2%) for 781 yards. Locker has thrown four touchdowns and has only been intercepted twice.

Veteran quarterback Matt Hasselbeck will start Sunday if Locker is unable to start on Sunday when the Titans travel to Minnesota to take on the Vikings. Hasselbeck completed 17-of-25 passes for 193 yards in Week 4's loss, while throwing two touchdowns and two interceptions.

Titans head coach Mike Munchak said that the team will know more about Locker’s status for Week 5 on Tuesday.
