Bengals vs. Texans injury report: BenJarvus Green-Ellis limited for Bengals, seven limited for Texans

Less than 48 hours from their AFC Wild Card playoff matchup, both teams are still dealing with a number of players listed as limited in practice.

The Cincinnati Bengals won seven of their last eight games en route to a spot in the playoffs as a Wild Card team and face a Houston Texans that struggled mightily toward the end of the year, dropping three of their final four games. Ahead of their Saturday AFC Wild Card playoff matchup, both teams are dealing with some key injuries.

Bengals running back BenJarvus Green-Ellis was limited in practice for the second consecutive day with a hamstring injury. Safety Chris Crocker sat out practice completely after being limited Wednesday with a thigh injury. Cornerback Jason Allen (hamstring), defensive end Wallace Gilberry (illness), cornerback Leon Hall (non-injury issue) and safety Taylor Mays (hamstring) were also limited in practice on Thursday. Cornerback Terence Newman returned to full strength after being limited on Wednesday with a groin injury.

The Texans were without linebacker Tim Dobbins and offensive guard Antoine Caldwell for the second consecutive day thanks to respective ankle and back injuries. Tight end Owen Daniels (chest and knee), offensive guard Wade Smith (knee) and tackle Derek Newton (knee) were also limited in practice on the offensive side of the ball. Defensive back Alan Ball (foot), defensive tackle Shaun Cody (back), linebacker Brooks Reed (groin) and defensive end Antonio Smith (ankle) were all limited in practice for the second straight day.
