Josh Gordon on pace to re-break Browns single-game receiving record

Gordon already has 125 yards at halftime against the Jaguars.

A week after breaking the Cleveland Browns single-game receiving record, wide receiver Josh Gordon could be on his way to setting it once again against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Gordon has racked up six receptions for 125 yards in the first half and could be on his way to surpassing the 237 yards he put up last week against the Steelers.

Gordon scored on a 21-yard reception in the second quarter against the Jags to put his team in the lead. It is his fifth touchdown of at least 20 yards this season, second only to Antonio Brown’s six.

Gordon began the season on a two-game suspension, but has since emerged as one of the league's top receiving threats, despite catching passes from a revolving door of injured and muddling quarterbacks. Even having missed those two early games, Gordon is only 176 yards from passing Braylon Edwards' single-season receiving franchise record of 1,289.

Gordon tied a franchise record with 14 catches during last week’s game against the Steelers and broke Ozzie Newsome’s yardage mark, which was previously 191.
