Court documents released Tuesday revealed that Carlos Ortiz, an associate of Aaron Hernandez, told investigators that another associate, Ernest Wallace, told him that Hernandez admitted to shooting Odin Lloyd.

A full affidavit obtained by NFL Network’s Albert Breer reveals a comprehensive story of Aaron Hernandez’s alleged shooting of Odin Lloyd.

That tidbit came from just a partial release of a court affidavit filed Tuesday in support of a request to search Wallace’s Florida residence. The full affidavit, passed along by the NFL Network’s Albert Breer to Pro Football Talk on Wednesday, reveals a more cohesive story.
Audio and video were recorded of Ortiz telling investigators his story during a previously-scheduled meeting with his probation officer on June 25. He said that he and Wallace arrived at Hernandez's home after midnight on the 17th and waited for Hernandez and his girlfriend, Shayanna Jenkins, to show up. When Hernandez returned, Ortiz said that the former New England Patriots tight end was "carrying a handgun."
The three men left Hernandez’s home at 1:09 a.m. in a car, stopped for gas, then picked up Lloyd and went back to Hernandez’s town of North Attleboro, Mass. Ortiz recalled this exchange on the drive back:
Ortiz told police that, on the drive back, “he overheard Mr. Hernandez state directly to Mr. Lloyd that he was ‘chilling’ with people that [Hernandez] had problems with.” Ortiz said that Hernandez and Lloyd “made up by ‘shaking hands’ and added that ‘it’ was squashed.”
Ortiz then fell asleep, not waking up until the car stopped and three other men got out “to urinate.” Ortiz said that he then heard gunshots, followed by Hernandez and Wallace getting back in the car without Lloyd. All three men went back to Hernandez’s home.
According to Ortiz, he never left the car, which would clarify why Wallace had to tell Ortiz that Hernandez pulled the trigger. When the men were back at the house, Wallace asked Ortiz to retrieve a small handgun located underneath the front passenger seat. Ortiz did so, carried it inside to give to Hernandez, then fell asleep once again.
The more than 150 pages of documents unsealed Tuesday by a Massachusetts court order revealed Hernandez as “argumentative” with investigators. Surveillance footage confirms that three men left Hernandez’s house shortly after 1 a.m. and returned at approximately 3 a.m. Tire tracks at the scene match the Nissan Altima rented by Hernandez.
