It's been a busy day of roster moves for the Indianapolis Colts, who have announced the release of eleven players and placed linebacker Lawrence Sibury on the injured reserve list, according to Mike Chappell.
NFL cuts: Colts release 11 players, Lawrence Sidbury to IR
The Colts are preparing for Tuesday’s 75-man roster deadline.

The eleven roster casualties include cornerbacks Johnny Adams, Allen Chapman and Teddy Williams, guard Danous Estenor, defensive tackle Kellen Heard, kicker Brandon McManus, running back Davin Meggett, linebacker C.O. Prime, center Rick Schmeig, safety Ashante Williams and wide receiver Maurice Williams.
None of the players released were ever drafted by the Colts, and seven had been signed as undrafted free agents this offseason. Only Heard, Meggett and Teddy Williams were on the roster last season.
The moves come in preparation of the league’s upcoming Aug. 27 roster cut deadline, by which time all teams are required to reach the mandated 75-man roster. With the moves on Sunday, the Colts are now at 78 players.
Teams then have until Aug. 31 to reduce their active roster to a maximum of 53 players.
