NFL roster cuts: Bengals release 6 players
Six down, six more to go for Cincinnati.
Defensive tackle Vaughn Meatoga was waived by the team along with four rookie free agents from the 2013 NFL Draft class: wide receiver Jheranie Boyd, cornerback Terrence Brown, linebacker Jordan Campbell and placekicker Quinn Sharp. The Bengals also terminated the contract of tight end Richard Quinn, making him a free agent.
Cincinnati now has 81 players on the roster, meaning the team will need to make six more roster cuts to get down to 75 by 4 p.m. ET on Tuesday afternoon. Final cuts for the 53-man roster have to be made by 6 p.m. ET on Saturday.
