The St. Louis Rams have begun the process of cutting the roster down to 75 players, according to Nick Wagoner of ESPN (hat tip to Turf Show Times). However, the Rams are not going to be releasing the cuts to the public just yet.
NFL roster cuts 2013: Rams releasing players but keeping it secret for now
Some of the Rams’ cuts have started to leak out.
According to Wagoner, wide receiver Andrew Helmick is expecting to be on the first Rams cut before Tuesday's deadline.
Wagoner also mentioned cornerback Robert Steeples, long snapper Jorgen Hus, and kicker Brett Baer. If those cuts are all made official, the Rams roster will be down to 86 players, giving the team plenty of more work to get down to 75 by Tuesday and 53 by Saturday.
