NFL roster cuts 2013: Raiders use PUP, injured reserve to get to 75-man limit

The Oakland Raiders placed one player on the PUP list and added two to injured reserve to make it down to the 75-man limit on Tuesday.

The Oakland Raiders made the final moves to get down to the 75-man roster limit on Tuesday. The biggest move was placing Miles Burris on the physically unable to perform list, which will keep him out for at least the first six weeks of the regular season.

They also placed Latavius Murray and Joselio Hanson on injured reserve. Murray has been out with an ankle injury, and this is confirmation that he will miss his rookie season. Hanson played in the team's third preseason game against the Chicago Bears and played well, managing to snare an interception. He suffered a significant groin injury during that game, however.

Oakland was at the 75-man limit at that point, but actually conducted another transaction, waiving cornerback Mitchell White to make room for kicker Justin Medlock. Sebastian Janikowski is dealing with some nagging injuries, so Medlock was brought in to handle the kicking duties for the team's fourth preseason game.

Interestingly enough, the Raiders kept both punters in Chris Kluwe and Marquette King. The two will continue to battle it out in advance of Saturday's cut down to 53 players.
