Bears cut J’Marcus Webb, Jordan Palmer, Brandon Hardin

Chicago inched closer to the 53-man roster limit by releasing three players on Friday.

The Chicago Bears cut J'Marcus Webb and Jordan Palmer on Friday, according to the players' Twitter accounts.

Webb tweeted out a good bye message to Chicago, saying that he had given three years of himself to the team. Palmer also broke the news of his release to his Twitter followers, sending an appreciative message to Bears fans after a brief stint with the team.

Windy City Gridiron: Tracking the Bears roster cuts

Webb and Palmer apparently weren't alone leaving Chicago on Friday, however. Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune is reporting that the Bears have informed 2012 third-round pick Brandon Hardin that he will also be waived on Friday. Injuries limited Hardin as a rookie and he never had a chance to catch up under the Bears' new regime.

With those three cuts, the Bears inch closer to the 53-man roster limit. The team has to get its roster down to 53 players by 6 p.m. ET on Aug. 31.
