NFL roster cuts 2013: Bengals finalize 53-man roster
The Bengals have made their final cuts on Saturday and now have their 53-man roster set.
There weren't many surprises in this round of cuts. Quarterback John Skelton might be the most notable name, as he played in seven games for the Arizona Cardinals last season. He was claimed off waivers in April, but failed to impress in preseason. The Bengals will move forward with Josh Johnson as the backup to Andy Dalton.
To get down to 53 men, the Benglas placed running back Bernard Scott on PUP and linebacker Emmanuel Lamur on injured reserve. Here's the complete list of released players, per Bengals blog Cincy Jungle:
FB John Conner, LB J.K. Schaffer, WR Cobi Hamilton, OT Dennis Roland, RB Dan Herron, LB Bruce Taylor, LS Bryce Davis, S Tony Dye, C T.J. Johnson, CB Chris Lewis-Harris, CB Onterio McCalebb, DE Dontay Moch, CB Shaun Prater, WR Taveon Rogers, WR Roy Roundtree, QB John Skelton, DT Terrence Stephens, G John Sullen, OT Reid Fragel
