The Vikings got a bid day from their star running back, but it wasn’t enough to beat the Lions.

Andrew Weber-USA TODAY SportsPeterson said he wants to get 2,500 rushing yards this season. That’s probably not going to happen, but there’s no doubt the Vikings will continue to use him as their offensive centerpiece. Peterson was the seveth running back to reach that milestone, and he’s made it clear that he plans to break Eric Dickerson’s 2,105-yard record this season.
