Jacksonville Jaguars cornerback Jalen Ramsey came to the NFL mostly unfamiliar with defeat. The No. 5 overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft went 37-4 in his three seasons at Florida State and won a national title along the way.
Tearful Jaguars CB Jalen Ramsey: ‘I’m tired of losing’
Ramsey only lost four games in college. He’s already doubled that number with Jacksonville.
Through 11 weeks of his NFL career, he’s doubled that loss total — and the Jaguars’ struggles are beginning to take a toll on the young athlete.
A tearful Ramsey was caught on camera at the tail end of the Jaguars’ 26-19 loss to the Lions. While there’s no audio from the Jacksonville bench, the talented defensive back can clearly be seen exclaiming “I’m tired of losing.”
The Jaguars’ 19-16 lead was erased in the fourth quarter, dropping the team to 2-8 on the season. Unless they can find a way to win their remaining six games, Jacksonville is headed to the franchise’s sixth straight losing season.
