The Giants were trailing the Cowboys 7-3 in the third quarter of their Sunday Night Football matchup. Then, Odell Beckham Jr. happened.
Odell Beckham sprinted for a TD against the Cowboys, then moonwalked in the end zone
A+ receiver, C- dancer.
Beckham caught a short pass over the middle, then outraced the entire Dallas secondary to find the end zone for a 61-yard touchdown pass. It was New York’s first touchdown of the day, and Beckham’s first against the Cowboys since breaking the internet with his spellbinding, one-handed diving catch back in 2014.
Then, he tried to Moonwalk on MetLife Stadium’s frozen turf. Not well, mind you.
Finally, the All-Pro wide receiver played to the home crowd after the touchdown. He gave the fans in the stands a regal wave from the sideline, invoking images of Queen Elizabeth II in the process.
The touchdown gave New York a 10-7 lead as the clock ran down on the third quarter. Week 14’s showdown is a must-win for the Giants if they want to catch Dallas in the NFC East. A loss Sunday would hand the division crown to the Cowboys.
All hail, King Odell.
