Kings Vs. Stars: Loui Eriksson Ties Game For Stars At One With Powerplay Goal

Loui Eriksson tied the game up for the Dallas Stars on the powerplay at the 11:32 mark of the second period. The goal was assisted by Brad Richards and Mike Ribeiro on another deflection goal. This goal extends Eriksson’s point streak to 10 games, the longest active streak currently in the league. The goal came off a Mark Greene roughing call eight seconds earlier.

The Stars are outshooting the Kings 17-16 and have had four powerplay chances compared the the Kings one. With the way that both goaltenders are playing at this point, the next goal could very well win this game. Jonathan Bernier has made 16 saves while Keri Lehtonen has made 15 saves on the night, including an impressive save at the end of the first period.
