Bruins Vs. Flyers, Game 2: James Van Riemsdyk Scores Two, But Boston Ties Score
James van Riemsdyk scored two goals in the first 10 minutes of the hockey game, one less than 30 seconds after the opening puck drop, as the home-standing Flyers jumped out to a quick, convincing early advantage.
The woes that they faced in Game 1 were behind them, right? Well, not so fast. Within a span of less than two minutes, the Bruins came back and quickly tied the score on goals from Chris Kelly and Brad Marchand. The same issues the Flyers had in Game 1 -- defensive breakdowns and the inability to clear rebounds in front -- are rearing their ugly heads again.
This time, they’re not behind after 20 minutes. We’ll see if they can make some adjustments in the final 40.
