NHL Saturday: Devils mount last-minute comeback in Boston

Madness, I tell you. Maybe the world will turn right-side up again on Sunday. In the meantime, let’s recap a busy Saturday evening in the NHL.

The Red Wings and Rangers are tied at 2-2 with about ten minutes remaining in regulation.

The funniest moment here is when Rask sees the referee’s goal call and violently catapults the puck over his shoulder without hesitation. He was clearly disgusted, and should be. That puck had no reason to end up in the back of the net. As it is, the Bruins’ lead is down to one, leading the Devils 3-2 after two periods.

As Scuderi battled for a loose puck along the boards late in the first period, McLaren skated up and laid a solid hit on the veteran Penguins defender. Scuderi landed awkwardly on his left leg as he fell and had to be helped off the ice.

Stars rookie Alex Chiasson has 11 goals in 16 career games as an NHL pro, including five this year after scoring twice against Calgary on Thursday. So far he’s a point-per-game player. He can’t keep this up, can he?
