Red Wings vs. Rangers: Jimmy Howard makes crazy save on Brian Boyle

Howard has been spectacular so far on Saturday.

Red Wings goalie Jimmy Howard has been fantastic in net on Saturday, stopping over 30 saves through two periods against the Rangers. He was particularly impressive in the second period, when he made a series of acrobatic stops to keep New York off the board.

His most impressive save was on Brian Boyle midway through the period. Boyle was set loose on a breakaway and unleashed a shot that Howard stopped easily. Boyle got back to his own rebound, and Howard made a diving blocker save as chaos unfolded in his own crease.

The Red Wings and Rangers are tied at 2-2 with about ten minutes remaining in regulation.
