Red Wings vs. Blue Jackets: Columbus continues domination of Detroit

Columbus took nine of ten possible points in the season series against the Red Wings.

The five game season series between the Detroit Red Wings and the Columbus Blue Jackets ended Sunday. How'd it go?

January 21st: Red Wings 4, Blue Jackets 3 (SO)

February 2nd: Red Wings 2, Blue Jackets 4

February 21st: Red Wings 2, Blue Jackets 3

March 9th: Red Wings 0, Blue Jackets 3

March 10th: Red Wings 2, Blue Jackets 3 (SO)

That’s right: the Columbus Blue Jackets came away with nine out of a possible ten points this year against the Detroit Red Wings, finishing the series with back-to-back wins, first by shutout and then with a shootout victory.

The Blue Jackets are currently last in the Central division and ahead of only Edmonton in the Western Conference, but they’re heading in the right direction. They’ve won five straight games, and have a seven-game point streak going for the first time since 2009.
