Oilers goaltender Devan Dubnyk hurt his neck when his teammate came crashing over him into the net midway through the second period. He stayed down on the ice for an extended period. The Oilers' trainer came on to the ice and rubbed his neck, which looked to be the injured area, but eventually Dubnyk left the game and was replaced by Yann Danis.
At the end of the first period of Sunday evening's game against the Chicago Blackhawks, the Oilers had a 4-0 lead. Chicago started pressing in the second period, and scored two goals to cut the lead in half.
