The Pittsburgh Penguins are struggling through one of the most inconsistent stretches in franchise history, and it's starting to show on their bench.
Patric Hornqvist and Sidney Crosby are squabbling on the Penguins’ bench
Tensions are clearly rising in Pittsburgh.
At some point in the first period Saturday against the Edmonton Oilers, Penguins captain Sidney Crosby took issue with something teammate Patric Hornqvist did or didn't do on the ice. The two had an animated conversation on the bench and it didn't look like Hornqvist was enjoying it.
And it continued ...
A little tense. Just a tad. But it comes on the heels of reports about behind-the-scenes tensions between Crosby and his teammates, so this adds a little weight to that. Either way, it’s clear frustrations are high in Pittsburgh.
