Evgeni Malkin scores ‘magical’ spin-o-rama goal off his backhand

The goal was one of the best of his career.

The rest of the Pittsburgh Penguins might be struggling and arguing with each other on the bench, but at least Evgeni Malkin is playing ridiculous hockey right now.

Malkin has been the lone bright spot on a Penguins squad that’s struggled to score, and he shined Saturday with one of the best goals of his career.

The Edmonton Oilers were trying to break out of their zone early in the second period when Malkin tracked them, stole the puck and spun around for a terrific goal.

The Penguins still trailed 2-1, but that goal is probably worth two scores.
