No American NHL player has ever experienced the kind of run Chicago Blackhawks forward Patrick Kane is on right now. It's official.
Patrick Kane sets American points streak record with a point in his 19th straight game
Patrick Kane is on a historic pace right now.

On Saturday, Kane set the record for the longest points streak by an American-born player with a point in his 19th straight game. The mark was set in the first period in Los Angeles when an intercepted pass by Blackhawks defenseman Duncan Keith landed on Kane's stick and ended up in the Kings' net.
Kane broke the record previously held by Eddie Olczyk (Toronto Maple Leafs, 1989-90) and Phil Kessel (Boston Bruins, 2008-09) at 18 games. Coincidentally, Olczyk was on the call for CSN Chicago as a color analyst when Kane broke his mark.
The undeniably impressive year comes after an offseason of turmoil off the ice for the Blackhawks' star. Kane shook it off and began his historic streak on Oct. 17 against the Columbus Blue Jackets. In the meantime, he also had a seven-game goal streak. Kane leads the league in points with 36.
