Kevin Keen, who will be leading relegated West Ham United out against Sunderland on Sunday with former manager Avram Grant given the boot, has expressed an interest in being given the job on a full-time basis. Keen has served as caretaker manager twice with the club but has no permanent managerial experience to draw on. However, unlike everyone else who's been mentioned in relation to the West Ham job, he's at least willing to work with the owners and for some reason sees a bright future with the team:
Kevin Keen Interested In Managing West Ham United On A Permanent Basis
This is my club. People say claret and blue runs through your veins and that is very much me. I think we have got a superb young bunch of footballers coming through in he likes of James Tomkins, Junior Stanislas, Zavon Hines, Freddie Sears, Jack Collison and Jordan Spence.
There is a real opportunity to go back to the days of pass and move and make sure people tackle like [former player and manager] Billy Bonds and want to run through brick walls for this football club.
The former midfielder appears to be mildly confused about the talent available to him and his analysis riddled with cliches. Perfect for West Ham, eh?
