Blackburn Reportedly Makes Offer For FC Dallas’ George John
Losing defender would be a blow to FC Dallas’ pursuit of multiple trophies.

FC Dallas is in the midst of one of their most successful seasons and is in the thick of several trophy hunts. The Toros just became the first MLS team to ever beat a Mexican Primera team in Mexico on Wednesday when they beat UNAM Pumas in CONCACAF Champions League play on Wednesday. On Aug. 30, they will play the Seattle Sounders in the U.S. Open Cup semifinals. They are also five points behind the Los Angeles Galaxy in the race for the Supporters' Shield.
While a sizable transfer fee would no doubt be a boon to the Toros, Big D Soccer, SB Nation’s FCD blog, has understandably mixed emotions about such a move:
To be honest, I’m not really sure how I feel about this yet. My gut reaction is that it would be a mistake to sell one of your defensive cornerstones in the middle of a season that looks to produce the first trophy for the team in nearly 15 years.
