Joern PollexWolfsburg moved ten points clear of the relegation with a 3-0 victory away to Werder Bremen. Dieter Hecking can begin to breathe a sigh of relief. Bremen are now winless in their last nine games.
Maximilian Arnold opened the scoring after thirteen minutes with a long distance shot that rolled past Sebastian Mielitz and into the back of the net. This is already Bremen’s worst season in Thomas Schaaf’s fourteen year reign as manager, and it didn’t get any better in this one.

Christof KoepselBayer Leverkusen put on an offensive clinic against Hoffenheim on the way to a 5-0 victory. The loss leaves Hoffenheim even closer to relegation.
Half an hour into the match, it was 2-0 Leverkusen after spectacular goals from Stefan Kießling and Andre Schürrle. The first came from Kießling in the 16th minute on an unsavable shot into the corner. Schürrle curled a spectacular shot into the corner in 31st minute.

Stuart FranklinThe hosts kept pressing their attack and were rewarded with the second goal in the 20th minute, and it was Van der Vaart again. This time, he dribbled between two defenders and shot the ball between Giefer’s legs for the 2-0 advantage.
Düsseldorf pulled one back ten minutes later on a Dani Schahin header. Axel Bellinghausen swung in a free kick, and Schahin was left unmarked for an easy header.
