Queens Park Rangers are getting reinforcements from above. Tottenham Hotspur are helping former manager Harry Redknapp out as he looks to guide QPR back into the top flight, providing him with a pair of loanees. Now the club has confirmed that both Benoit Assou-Ekotto and Tom Carroll have left Spurs for Loftus Road on season-long loans:

Assou-Ekotto and Carroll are in very different situations. The former's being pushed out of White Hart Lane after repeated clashes with Andre Villas-Boas -- Tottenham have been seeking an upgrade at left back for some time, and Assou-Ekotto's already lost his place in the first team to youngster Danny Rose. He's unlikely to play for the team again. Carroll, on the other hand, has been farmed out for first-team experience as he looks to get ready for a long career with his parent club.
Redknapp won’t care much why Tottenham are loaning their players out -- he just wants to improve the team. Both Assou-Ekotto and Carroll will do just that.
