Peter Odemwingie has finally gotten his move away from West Brom, having been sold to Cardiff City. Sky Sports News reported that the deal is for £4 million.
Peter Odemwingie sold to Cardiff City
This time Peter Odemwingie actually got his transfer away from West Brom.
Odemwingie famously drove to Queens Park Rangers in the January transfer window, hoping to close a move to the Hoops. The problem is that West Brom hadn't given him permission to do so and Odemwingie was embarrassingly left in the parking lot at Loftus Road. Odemwingie has been on the outs with Steve Clarke ever since that stunt and having not played yet this season, the striker was determined to find a new club.
The 32-year-old has found his new club in Cardiff City, who could certainly use the Nigeria international. The Bluebirds made waves by beating Manchester City in their first Premier League home match, but the three goals they scored in that win are their only tallies this season. They have been shutout in their other two league matches and have looked impotent doing so, a trend they hope Odemwingie can help change.
