The deal had been rumoured all day, but it’s a bit of a surprise that the Baggies have broken their transfer record to sign the Benin international. Sessegnon’s a bit of a gamble, considering his mercurial form with the Black Cats, but he’s undoubtedly got plenty of quality, quality Steve Clarke’s side definitely needs -- they still haven’t scored a goal yet this season.
We're still waiting on word of the striker situation at the Hawthornes, with West Brom reportedly chasing both Romelu Lukaku and Everton's Victor Anichebe. But we're running out of time before the deadline closes -- can the Albion get everything done before the window slams shut?
