Official: D’Ambrosio moves from Torino to Inter

The Italian fullback joins the nerazzurri on a deal that keeps him with the club until 2018.

Inter Milan have confirmed the transfer of Danilo D'Ambrosio from Torino. The defender has signed a three-and-a-half year deal with the nerazzurri, keeping him with the club until June 2018.

The 25-year-old has been at Torino since 2010, when he joined the then Serie B side from Juve Stabia. Giampiero Ventura shifted D'Ambrosio from wing back to right back, and the granata coach has had him filling in at left back this season as well. This year he's started 14 of Torino's 21 games and has two goals for the side.

With D'Ambrosio's apparent versatility, don't be surprised if Walter Mazzarri uses him as a wing back on either side of the pitch. The nerazzurri aren't having the best of times recently, having picked up just two points in January, and could certainly use any reinforcement they could bring in.

The move could also indicate that Yuto Nagatomo is on his way out, but it's more likely that D'Ambrosino will replace Jonathan on the right.
