Fulham pick up midfielder on loan from Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham Hotspur have just confirmed that they've loaned out-of-favour attacking midfielder Lewis Holtby to Fulham for what is presumably the rest of the season:

Fulham are going through a monumental retooling process in this window in an effort to escape relegation, and Holtby should be seen as a far more reliable alternative to AC Milan-bound Adel Taarabt. But he’s not going to help with their main issue, which is the defence, and we can probably expect more inbound at Craven Cottage.

Meanwhile, Holtby's Spurs place has been rather thoroughly occupied by Christian Eriksen and they're also in possession of the likes of Gylfi Sigurdsson, so sending the German out on loan isn't a huge gamble. It wouldn't be a huge surprise if he's played his last game at White Hart Lane.
