FC Dallas, Blackburn Reportedly Agree To Terms On George John Transfer

Multiple outlets are reporting that an agreement is in place that would transfer FC Dallas defender George John to the Blackburn Rovers of the English Premier League. A report out of England passingly mentions John is heading there for a physical, while Ives Galarcep said all that needs to be worked out is personal terms:

George John heading to Greece 2 secure passport/ID, THEN John & Blackburn have 2 negotiate personal terms. Deal not DONE yet, but on the wayless than a minute ago via TweetDeck Favorite Retweet Reply

John told Big D Soccer that he already is a Greek citizen, so obtaining the proper paperwork should be little more than a formality. John is currently making just $42,000 a year, so a move to the EPL would likely mean a huge pay raise. Previous reports have suggested that Blackburn was offering about $2 million to acquire John’s rights.
